Are you ready to take on a leadership role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Engineering Manager to join our team at our Milton Keynes site. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Integrated Production Teams (IPT's) by ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings, systems, utilities, and assets.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with statutory provisions and internal standards
Optimise asset availability, performance, and life-cycle cost
Efficiently utilise company resources
Manage projects and contracts while adhering to corporate procurement policy
Establish, execute, and review effective maintenance plans
Monitor and adjust maintenance strategies to optimise equipment performance
Control adherence to annual budgets and expenditure
Monitor and improve work performance and safety standards
Lead, coach, and develop the assigned team
Act as a role model and lead coach for safety compliance
Liaise with internal customers on equipment and asset performance issues
Communicate with stakeholders to minimise the impact of maintenance activities
Requirements:
Technical engineering management experience in a similar role
Strong technical understanding and practical experience in electrical distribution systems, building management systems, combustion plant, steam generation and distribution, HVAC, refrigeration plant, pressure systems safety regulations, electrical controls and switchgear, electro-pneumatic controls, AC and DC machines
Mechanical/Electrical or Mechatronics Degree with 2 years of industry experience OR British Technical Education Council – Higher/Ordinary National Certificate combined with City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant craft-based discipline and >10 years working experience and a further 5 years of leading a multi-skilled technical team
Indentured (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship in an electrically biased discipline
JIB approved electrician
Sound knowledge of electrical installation regulations
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong coaching and leadership skills
Willingness to out of hours and weekends as required

- As the Plant Engineering lead, supporting our manufacturing activities within out Building 71-73 Antigen facility, you play a crucial role in supporting our integrated production teams
- This role will make a significant impact to Milton Keynes financial targets by playing a key role in maintaining asset reliability, to enable production colleagues to achieve manufacturing targets, which contribute 49% of transfer to Inventory (TTI) for the financial year of 2024 and similar in 2025
