We are a market leader in Road Tanker manufacture incorporating Vacuum and high-Pressure jetting systems. The company supply specialist vehicle building solutions & drainage equipment, parts and accessories to councils, water authorities and contractors nationwide.
Purpose of the Plant Fitter/Vehicle Builder/ HGV Mechanic Role
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the new vehicle build, final assembly, commissioning and after sales support of high-quality bespoke vehicles and associated equipment used for moving, storing, expelling liquids and semi solids in the tanker building, jetting, drainage and welfare industry. To emphasise the experience required, GK & N products and systems are all low-volume and uniquely designed to customer requirements, rather than standard high-volume catalogue products.
We now have a position for a multi disciplined Mechanical Fitter to carry out the following;
Specialist Vehicle building from concept to completion. Assembly testing and commissioning of new build Equipment. Truck body building & conversions. Service & Repair of existing vacuum and Jetting vehicles & equipment Workshop based and site service work nationwide. Key Skills & Experience:
Hydraulics and basic auto electrical experience Small engine experience Pump and rotating machinery experience Fabrication and welding experience Highly motivated and confidence in their workmanship Full driving license (HGV licence an advantage) Ability to achieve results in a busy working environment and manage own work load Excellent communication skills at all levels Engineers from HGV, Plant hire, Municipal vehicle, agricultural engineering or coach building back grounds would be ideally suited to this position.
