Why this job matters
This is a hybrid role available in both Birmingham and Ipswich locations.
This is a Platform Support Manager role in a security team, namely BT's Privileged Access Management (PAM) security team in Digital's Corporate Units. The core purpose of this team is to protect BT's systems from Cyber security threats, both internal and external, and we take this responsibility very seriously. We run and manage security platforms which control across to the whole of BT and EE. We protect privileged identities and manage administrator access to most of BT's estate, across IT and Networks. To do that, we work with market leading technologies (CyberArk) in a fast-evolving security landscape.

What you'll be doing
  • You will own and be responsible for all aspects related to the In-Life management, operation and support of BT's Privileged Access Management Platforms.
  • You will own and lead the 2nd line ASG support function for both PAM platforms, ensuring all relevant SLAs and Platform KPIs are consistently met.
  • You will consistently strive to improve the overall user experience when they are using the platforms/ supported functionality.
  • You will identify and own to completion initiatives that seek to automate processes and reduce cost and effort in the provision of privileged access management to BT's estate and support community.
  • You will be responsible for running all relevant controls and processes in order to ensure that both PAM platforms meetthe requirements arising from the applicable Audit Compliance frameworks (ICOFR, PCI-DSS, etc).
  • You will manage and support senior management to meet Audit requirements and recommendations (ICOFR, ICA, etc) for compliance and reporting for access control and revalidation.
  • You will run the PAM 2nd Line support team , optimising resources, balancing the workload and setting
  • targets to ensure that work area objectives are consistently met, and to nurture an environment for achievement within
  • the team.
  • You will work in security integration projects and lead and deliver service improvement initiatives. You will provide input to project delivery plans and cost/effort estimates for your own specific deliverables.

  • Specific Technical Skills and Expertise in the following areas
  • Experience in a technical system support/2rd Line role
  • Good knowledge of ITIL Framework and Principles
  • Good understanding of IT and Security controls and compliance frameworks, ideally through working in an operational domain or through testing of controls as part of a compliance regime
  • H/W and S/W installation /configuration/ troubleshooting (Windows/Unix)
  • Networking and common internet protocols/applications knowledge
  • Good understanding of key security concepts and technologies in the wider Identity and Access Management domain a significant plus.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
