Play Manager Location: Horley, Surrey Job Type: Daily supply, short term, long term Salary: Negotiable Rate Are you a creative and energetic individual with a passion for working with children and families? Do you have experience managing a play centre or a similar facility? We have an exciting opportunity for a Play Manager to join our team. We are partnered with a primary school that offers a variety of fun and educational activities for children of all ages. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Breakfast/Afterschool club, ensuring the children are happy and safe, and that the staff are well-trained and motivated. Day-to-day of the role: Manage and supervise the play centre staff, including receptionists, play workers, and cleaners Ensure that the play centre is clean, tidy, and well-maintained Monitor and maintain the health and safety standards of the play centre and the equipment Handle customer enquiries, bookings, feedback, and complaints in a friendly and professional manner Manage the cash flow, budget, and stock of the play centre Promote and market the play centre to attract new and repeat customers Plan and organise special events, parties, and promotions for the play centre Liaise with external partners and suppliers, such as entertainers, caterers, and equipment providers Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in the play industry Required Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience as a Play Manager, Play Leader, or similar role Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations Knowledge of child development and play theory Awareness of child protection and safeguarding issues Leadership and team management skills Flexibility and availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays A passion for play and a positive attitude Benefits: 24/7 access to a personal consultant who is an expert in Education recruitment Access to a huge range of teaching opportunities through our network of branches across England and Wales Competitive pay rates Support with payroll and timesheets Access to CPD courses Access to the Rewards scheme which includes professional indemnity insurance, life/critical illness insurance, personal accident cover and a 24-hour legal and counselling helpline service.
