Our long standing and well-respected client based in Bricket Wood are looking for a Playground Inspection and Maintenance Engineer to join their successful team!
The Playground Inspection & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the Inspection and Maintenance duties of a rapidly growing portfolio of clients. As the service grows there is an opportunity to grow with the organisation. They work nationally so you will need to be comfortable driving and be able to adapt to a changing schedule.

Key Responsibilities for teh Playground Inspection and Maintenance Engineer:
The job will entail the Inspection and Maintenance of playgrounds, skate parks and ball courts
There will be a requirement to carry out full surveys to enable works to be priced and repairs to be carried out right first time
There will also be a requirement to carry out maintenance works such as digging out rotten posts and replacing, replacing above ground rotten timbers, replacing bolt caps and other parts, painting and graffiti removal
Carrying out the work to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely manner
Carrying out the repairs to safety surfacing, such as rubber mulch and wetpour to a very high quality
Complying with all on site health and safety and quality checks
Carrying out maintenance and repairs to outdoor play equipment, ramps, MUGA’s, fitness equipment, safety surfacing and associated landscaping
Soft and hard landscaping works on occasion, which includes fencing as an example
The use of hand or power tools
Provide excellent customer service with current and potential clients
Perform additional duties as required by your line manager
For this Playground Inspection and Maintenance Engineer role the client is looking for:
A valid clean driver’s license is essential as a Company Van will be issued
A CSCS card is required
A satisfactory DBS is required
Extensive knowledge of playground equipment (preferred but not essential)
Experience of MUGA’s and ramps (preferred but not essential)
Experience of installation of safety surfacing (grass mats, bonded rubber mulch, loosefill and wetpour; preferred but not essential)
RPII Operational Inspector qualification would be helpful
Competency in operating powered hand tools is preferred
Preparing survey reports and quality checks for review and submitting back to the office
Ability to effectively communicate to all customers, colleagues and suppliers
Ability to work in a team setting or individually
Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail and a problem solving attitude is essential
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels
