Job description

PMO Analyst - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ

£34,448 - £36,864 dependent on experience, plus allowances totalling £2,841

Location: West Brompton

For Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), delivering projects is not just about bringing improvements, it is about keeping millions of people safe across the UK. Our Change Pillar supports a portfolio of projects and programmes that help protect our country and we have a number of exciting opportunities to help deliver change across the CTP network.

The Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Programme and Project Management team has a number of exciting opportunities for PMO Analysts to help deliver our portfolio of change across the CTP network.

You don’t need a background in policing or security for your skills to help keep people safe.

To be successful in this role you will:

Be comfortable analysing information and providing recommendations in a format that is accessible to a wide range of audiences  Have an eye for detail  Be exceptionally well organised and thrive in a fast-paced environment  Work well both as part of a team, or on your own  Be able to meet deadlines and prioritise your workload effectively  Be confident communicating with people at all levels  Be able to facilitate groups of people to reach a positive outcome.   For further information on the key responsibilities for the roles, please refer to the job description.

The Change Pillar is a supportive team environment and one in which we endeavour to ensure each individual can fulfil their potential. If you have a passion to drive change forward, then we will provide you with the platform, support and opportunities to do it.

Please note, the job description is used as a framework to review and manage performance when an individual is in post, and therefore not all skills and experience are required from the outset.

Vetting

These posts can require regular access to the most sensitive intelligence material.  Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post, which can take between 8-12 months to complete. There will be the opportunity to undergo further NSV at Developed Vetting (DV) level, which will be discussed further at the interview stage and you will be able to indicate if you have a preference for which vetting level you would be submitted for, as we are recruiting to a number of posts across each.

Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

Confidentiality agreement

Applicants should also be aware of the need to sign a confidentiality agreement on taking up the post.

Our employee commitments

Counter Terrorism Policing aims to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere and culture and an environment where all our people feel a strong sense of belonging and are able to reach their full potential. Where any group or individual can be and feel respected, supported and valued to fully participate and contribute to our mission of 'Working to keep people safe from Terrorism'.
