The Policy Expert will be a knowledge subject expert supporting CIHT Policy development through a range of medium: think pieces, interviews, published papers, policy work, research, blogs, webinars.
The role that we are recruiting for offers a huge opportunity to do something differently and to deliver real value, to support the CIHT Climate Change Pledge to help the highways and transportation sector deliver net zero. To support how technology and innovation will reshape our sector. To create places and transport policy that will create a healthier, happier society. The main duties include:
- Working with the staff and members to develop and run research and policy projects;
- Work with members to share and create a vibrant online community through digital platforms;
- Support the development of digital and in-person events that are stimulating - delivering real content and knowledge by identifying interesting content and programmes for events;
- Work as knowledge expert generating engaging website content through blogs, news stories, etc,;
- Support the development of technical knowledge through an annual Awards programme Support the identification and sourcing of technical content;
- Work with members to represent CIHT’s view to relevant consultations from government and industry bodies;
- Where appropriate provide secretariat support to the external consultancy projects carried out by CIHT Other duties within the competence of the job holder as required by CIHT.
Salary – Up to £32,500.

Flexible working is supported by CIHT, however at least two-days per week will be office based (Old Street, London).
