Job description

The London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Consultant in Public Health to support both councils to improve, promote and protect the health and wellbeing of local populations with a lead on Children and Young people.The two boroughs have different and dynamic populations presenting a fantastic opportunity address a wide range of population health challenges. You will be part of a high achieving, dedicated, and friendly Public Health team that is embedded across all council departments and serving over half a million residents.As well as strong skills and experience in leading on complex Public Health issues, we are looking for a positive attitude and the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands.  You will be able to work flexibly and autonomously. You will be politically astute and enable elected members to maximise their positive impact on health and wellbeing.  You will be an influential and clear communicator and able to take people with you to effect change.  You will embrace diversity and be able to work and influence people from a variety of backgrounds.You will report to the Director of Public Health and work closely with Children’s Services Directorate and Achieving for Children.
