Main Duties
Different Kind is looking for a pop-up event co-ordinator to work in our small but mighty team. You’ll be joining a fired-up, big hearted team to help grow our retail and corporate gifting brand. This position will be a part-time role (3 days per week) with a fixed term contract of a year, with the potential to extend. During the Christmas season more hours will be required as this is peak pop-up time. The successful candidate will be required to work the odd weekend day when pop-ups are scheduled.
In 2023 Different Kind’s pop-ups were hugely successful and employees at the businesses we visited were pleased their places of work were promoting social change and keen to learn a new, kinder way of doing business.
Pop-ups are a great way to showcase our goods to promote the skilled work and craftsmanship of our producers. Items like The One Armed Potter’s cups really come to life in an intimate marketplace environment. It also allows our sales team to tell the incredible stories of our inspiring makers.

Responsibilities include:
-Organising pop-ups with businesses
-Ownership of the pop-up diary
-Managing staff for pop-up
-Picking stock for pop-ups as per curation lists
-Booking stock in and out on DK system
-Creating a call sheet for staff working the pop-up to be circulated day before
-Collecting stock from warehouse
-Moving stock from warehouse to pop-up location and back again
-Setting up pop-up stall/taking down pop up-stall as per merchandise guidelines
-Learning producers stories and storytelling at events
-Pop-up sales using Zettle
-Sharing content from pop-up events with DK marketing team
-Sharing potential corporate leads with DK sales team post each event
-Managing inventory of pop-up comms tools (signage, flyers, stickers, gift wrap, bags)
-Management of pop-up comms between clients and marketing team
-Help to organise Christmas gifting launch event
This role will require face to face travel to pop-ups in London & other locations around the UK. The ideal candidate would be London based due to the location of the Kentish Town warehouse. It is essential that candidates have a clean UK driving licence as they will be expected to drive stock.
This role will be managed by the Corporate Sales Lead. You will work closely with the marketing team on content and with the Head of Operations on stock replenishment.
Skills and Experience Required
What you’ll need:
-Strong administration skills
-Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle an ever changing workload, a natural born planner
-Excellent at communicating both verbally and in writing and extremely organised
-Confident at working with internal and external stakeholders
-Good attention to detail with a methodical approach
-Can proficiently use gmail, google docs, google sheets and google drive
-Excellent time management & punctual
-Clean UK driving licence
-Canva skills desirable
