Port Ellen Brand Home Coordinator
Location: Port Ellen, Isle of Islay
Permanent, full-time

The Brand Home Coordinator is an integral role within the Brand Home as you’ll be required to deliver high standards of customer service and an outstanding, memorable visitor experience. Our tours are the opportunity for the public to learn who we are and what we do, you’ll be guiding them around our beautiful distillery representing the brand and Diageo. You will be leading the team of Guides to deliver world-class service while ensuring a smooth running of all daily operations at the Visitor Centre.
Accountabilities
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
- Ensuring H&S and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Ensure compliance in accordance to Diageo’s global standards and policies, including daily operational compliance
- Key holder (including responsible for the opening and closing of the BH), personal license holder and premise manager as required
- Coordinate contractor works within in the Brand Home
- Onsite point of contact with operations team, attend Distillery risk meetings as required, escalating and resolving issues as required.
- Part of the Duty Management rota
OPERATIONS & OPERATIONAL COMPLIANCE
- Support the Brand Home Host with of all operational activities relating to catering, experiences and retail
- Responsible for stock control and cash management
- Liaise with suppliers to place orders
- Subject matter experts on all systems relating to BH operations
- Support on all F&B requirements incl liaising with catering partner and ensuring all F&B compliance
- Responsible managing BH mailbox and entry of all bookings to systems/diaries
- Answers all incoming calls and processes requirements
- Co-ordinate and attend training as required
Experience required
- Experience in tourism or hospitality
- Possess a friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
- Operational skills required with a focus on compliance, health & safety
- Whisky knowledge required
- Fully embrace customer service standards and be guided by a customer-first mindset
- Be driven, resilient, open-minded and a team player
