Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nuclear Engineering

Starting Salary: £37,099 p.a. (Grade 7)
Applications are invited for the fixed term position of Postdoctoral Research Officer in Nuclear Engineering. The role will be based in the Nuclear Futures Institute at Bangor University. For more information about the Nuclear Futures Institute, please refer to our website here: https://nubu.nu.
Duties will include design, simulation, and construction of a heat exchanger with liquid lithium.
Candidates should possess a PhD (or be near completion) in Nuclear Engineering or relevant related subject, and ideally have previous experience in fluid dynamics and heat transfer and a good track record of academic writing and contributing to publications for peer-reviewed journals.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible, and the post is available until 31st August 2025.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
