We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team for a 6-month Contract as a Power BI and SQL Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing row-level security measures across all existing dashboards and reports, while also improving the efficiency of our data model using DAX and SQL.
This role requires a deep understanding of data modelling and the ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights to support informed business decisions.
What you will be doing as Power BI and SQL Specialist.
- Implement a dynamic row-level security to all existing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Analyse and document data sources, data structure, and data quality considerations.
- Develop data models, measures, and calculations to provide actionable insights using Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
- Conduct thorough testing to validate data accuracy and performance.
- Optimize SQL queries and database indexes to enhance overall system performance.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve Power BI report performance and responsiveness.
What you should bring to the role
- Significant work experience in Power BI and SQL (essential).
- Advanced work experience with Power BI RLS (essential).
- Strong proficiency in SQL database design principles.
- Experience in data visualisation and data modelling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (desirable).
