WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking for a Talented System's Engineer who will be responsible to support the definition; development and delivery of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) systems, consisting of multiple hardware and software components, into JLR's vehicles for our exciting, all new, Electrified Architecture platform.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to define a completely new product within JLR working with a supportive team with the newest technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll define the vision and convey this vision to the squad.
- System Functional Analysis – you will be required to carry out a range of analysis and investigations of the customer requirements to define the expected system functionality and their performance targets.
- Evaluate multiple system design concepts and maintain integrity between system and its components to arrive at a harmonised solution.
- System Design Specification – prepare system requirement specifications and developing functional designs, demonstrating how the system satisfies the defined customer requirements.
- System Integration – Define system logical and physical architecture, operating logic and a system integration plan.
- Verification and Validation – We will need you to support the design and develop system integration tests.
- Lead cross-functional technical reviews on the systems; balancing commodity responses to deliver the best outcome for the customer.
- You’ll adhere to the defined systems engineering & programme delivery processes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- We will want you to have relevant experience of working in an Automotive Powertrain Systems Engineering environment.
- Bring relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
- Good verbal and written communications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have a track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Full driving licence
