The role
Provide support and coordination for Service Management activity within the client program for a specific Development Package (DP) and project.
High-level accountabilities include:
- Support the Service Management Lead in delivering Service Management for a specific DP.
High-level responsibilities include:
- Conduct Service Management activity as directed by the Service Manager
- Ensure that the solution is delivered to quality standards
- Prepare the scope for DPs and coordinate technical input; validate DPs' output against the scope
- Co-ordinate quality reviews and bring in technical competence (e.g., from the client organisation Functions) when required to review and approve deliverables
- Support collaborative working and communication in the spirit of the contract
- Work alongside the commercial team to develop and manage the DP contracts
- Support performance management of their relevant DP to ensure deliverables, milestones & budget are achieved
- Capture and monitor risks and issues and escalate to the Service Management Lead where appropriate
- Prepare Service Management progress and performance reporting for the specific DP
- Provide input to governance meetings from a Service Management perspective to enable effective decision-making
- Fulfill any other reasonable duties in line with your position or to deputize for a Service
Qualifications/Skills & Experience:
- APM, PMQ, PRINCE2 foundation or other relevant project management qualifications - Desired
- Project management - Essential
- Process Plant and Equipment - Essential
- Experience of Service Management on a large program with a complex stakeholder environment - Desired
- Collaboration, influencing, resilience, conflict resolution, visible leadership, inspiring others, and holistic thinking - Desired
- Clear understanding/experience of Nuclear license conditions and ability to deliver within the bounds of license conditions - Desired
