My client, a well established brand are recruiting for a PR Assistant to join them on a fixed term contact until December 2024.
The role
The PR Assistant will learn the diverse functions of a press office, as well as support a range of communication activities to help spread brand awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Build relationships with journalist and influencers
- Keeping up with the news and identifying reactive opportunities with the support of the team
- Keeping abreast of social media trends
- Developing briefing docs if and when required
- To support the team in providing back up for the Customer Information Line
- Researching, monitoring and summarising industry news for reporting purposes
- Tracks and clips media coverage
- To support and progress projects agreed by the PR Manager; including desk research, event coordination, media pack creation and influencer management
- Transcribe audio and podcast interviews so that it can be analysed for learnings
- Build targeted journalist database
- Develop ad-hoc LinkedIn posts to support events or campaigns
- To effectively manage tasks and projects within the deadlines set by PR Manager .
- Attend relevant webinars and events, take notes and report back to team
- Support with seeking relevant awards for upcoming year
