We are recruiting for a PR & Communications Manager within our PR function.
Our core purpose is "Serving our customers, communities and planet a little better every day" and this role truly encompasses that! Whether you are working with our customers, on our charity/community agenda, landing colleague comms or elevating Booker's Brand you will be the glue that brings this all together!
This role will focus on creating, maintaining, developing, and delivering a communications plan that is fit for purpose, supports the business' agenda, and fully engages the audience.
Working closely with our Press & PR Manager, this role will suit someone who really wants to make an impact, bring their creative flair, and make the role their own to truly elevate the importance of our PR function in Booker.
This role will include some travel for events/awards and shows, typically 1 or 2 days a week during our busiest months which are March, Sept, Oct and Nov.

Role Responsibility
Creating, maintaining, developing and delivering an engaging internal communications plan to our business, with a focus on our weekly colleague newsletter, our internal intranet system, trading and group colleague comms
Championing all things PR; whether that be talking about what the PR function is doing, attending awards ceremonies/events,
Creating clear and consistent framework and templates for internal comms
Working cross-functionally with internal teams (Sustainability, People, Trading etc.) to land meaningful and engaging business comms
Utilising key material from the wider group (Tesco) to improve our Community and Charity engagement plan
Implement and deliver a strategy for awards; bringing to life our business and brand
You will need
Previous experience within a similar role; a background in brand, marketing, or PR
Proven experience delivering engaging communications
Strong writing and communication skills
Excellent stakeholder management experience
Motivated and a self starter
Ability to manage deadlines and changing priorities
