An exciting opportunity to shape the Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapy Service has arisen for a full-time (part-time considered) Practice Development Officer. Our Team consists of Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistants. You will work closely with our colleagues in the Disabled Children's and Young People’s Social Work Teams and other key agencies, such as Health, Education and the voluntary sector.
You will be a highly motivated, passionate and innovative individual who can work autonomously as well as work as part of a large Team.
You will hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with HCPC and have a variety of post-qualification experience.
Kent County Council has an extensive training and development programme in place, providing employees with support and opportunities to further develop their knowledge and skills, ensuring they receive regular high-quality supervision.
Kent County Council offers a hybrid working model with a combination of home and office working. The contractual base can be flexible however there will be an expectation that you are able to work flexibly across the County
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and a relevant professional qualification in Occupational Therapy as well as up to date registration with the appropriate professional body.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
