An amazing opportunity has arisen at Biscot Mill Veterinary Centre and we are looking for a Practice Manager to join our team.
Duties will include:
- Leading and developing our team to ensure exceptional client and patient experiences.
- Leading and developing our reception team to ensure a continuous high standard of customer care.
- Providing proactive support to our Clinical Director in practice management and business development.
- Overseeing financial aspects; fully supported by our Area Director, Emily and Area Support Manager, Hannah.
- Building collaborative relationships with IVC's various departments.
- Assisting with recruitment.
- Assisting with schedules, holiday, and absence management and our systems.
- Being the go-to person for employee relations, supported by IVC’s HR team.
- Carrying out 1-2-1s and appraisals.
- Assisting with practice maintenance and health and safety.
- Assisting reception with debt management.
- Processing insurance claims, invoices and practice paperwork.
- Assisting with the handling and resolution of customer complaints to a high standard.

This is a full-time position covering 40 hours per week Monday-Friday with flexible working patterns available. We value your work-life balance and therefore, there is no weekend or OOHs work. This role is busy but rewarding and therefore, would suit a proactive, organised and supportive person with leadership/management experience looking for a new challenge or would suit an experienced Head RVN looking to take the next step in their career.

We are a busy small animal town practice, led by our Clinical Director, Sheri, with a progressive attitude that takes pride in the high standards of care that we provide. We have invested in dental x-ray and a new dental suite, alongside the usual gadgets such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, tonopen, multiparameter monitoring equipment, blood haematology and biochemistry, bair huggers and blood pressure machines. Being in Luton we are close to the airport with fast links to London and motorways.

We have a dedicated team of 3 vets, supported by our nursing and support team. Within our clinical team, we have interests in cardiology, exotics, dentistry and nurses' clinics. We have a full reception team to assist you in providing excellent client care, promoting our Pet Health Club and handling client queries.
