Job Title: Practice Nurse

Hourly Rate: £40 to £50 per hour

Working hours: Out of hours. Evenings 630pm to 11pm / Overnights 630pm to 8am / Weekends 8am to 11pm

Day Time: Monday to Friday 8am to 630pm (full time and part time considered)

Payment Method: Umbrella or PAYE

Contract Type: Locum

Contract Length: Ongoing

Job Summary:

• NMC Registered nurse with Practice Nurse experience.
• Previous involvement in Primary is essential.
• This role requires consolidation of specialist knowledge and skills in general practice nursing, demonstrating a depth of knowledge, understanding and competence that supports evidenced informed, complex, autonomous and independent decision-making, and care in general practice and related settings.
• This role will require personal resilience, clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship of others in the general practice nursing team and providing an effective learning environment for staff and students in the wider team. 
• Post registration experience in at least one of the following areas, relating to the service applying for: Out of Hours Urgent Primary care, General practice, walk in centre, A&E, Community or Intermediate Care beds (Care Home).
• Willing to undertake face to face consultations including home visits
• Ability to conduct remote consultations/assessments
• Preferred skill experience in Adastra and EMIS (training if Req in Adastra)

Essential Candidate Criteria:

• Full NMC Registration or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• BSC Qualification in Nursing/Post Grad certificate
• Non-Medical Prescriber - V300
• Clinical Diagnostic Level 7
• Clinical Examination Level 7
• Experience of working in urgent care and/or primary care
