Pricing Actuary/Analyst - Underwriting Lead

Role:
Pricing & underwriting specifications with insurers: Specifying risk appetite, underwriting rules and pricing algorithms with insurers for all classes of SME business.
Design and automation: Designing and automating the above in Aurora’s algorithmic underwriting. infrastructure – using Radar Live, moving to Python as we expand to larger risks.
Testing: Aid build of the automated testing framework for the above.
Subject matter expert for pricing, involved in all Aurora innovation propositions.
Portfolio management and trend analysis for all classes of business.
Ideal skillset:
Pricing actuary, commercial lines.
Experience with building excel based rating specifications, pricing analysis, working with underwriters.
Experience building pricing models within technology – ideally Radar Base and Radar Live but alternative also acceptable.
Interested in commercial lines, insurance digitisation and the future of insurance.
Opportunity:

This individual will be the pricing & algorithmic underwriting SME involved in all of these propositions, and have the opportunity to represent at the Lloyds Lab.
Very high market exposure and build of personal profile and skillset.
Working closely with the CTO and leadership team across business, to help shape the future of insurance and their scale and growth. Reports directly into CTO for the first year, with exposure to leadership and ability to have strategic influence.
