Reception Class Teacher
• Salary: £150 - £200 per day
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
• Start Date: 8th April
• Duration: Easter to Summer term
Reed is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reception Class Teacher with expertise in the Little Wandle phonics programme. This role is set to commence from the Easter term and will continue through to the summer term at a supportive school based in the south Birmingham area. The successful candidate will join a supportive local school committed to fostering a love of learning from the earliest stages of education.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Plan and deliver captivating lessons for Reception students, with a strong focus on early literacy development using the Little Wandle Phonics programme.
• Create an engaging and dynamic learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent learning.
• Regularly assess student progress and tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of each child, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators and parents to enhance student development and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Reception or Early Years settings.
• Demonstrated experience with the Little Wandle Phonics programme, or similar phonics schemes, to support early literacy.
• Able to provide 2 years’ worth of teaching references from within the UK.
• Possession of a DBS registered to the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid documentation confirming the right to work in the UK.
