Now Education are currently working in partnership with an independent SEMH school in North Leicestershire that are looking to recruit a Permanent Teacher of Primary Maths to join their team.
This role is a straight permanent role at the school, with interviews to be held ASAP and visits to the site encouraged. It would suit someone dissilusioned with mainstream education and a keen interest in Maths.
Our partner school specialises on providing a bespoke education package to learners with Autism. With very small class sizes and a shared input to their education package students are given the opportunity to progress and achieve positive outcomes and Teaching staff come away with the rewards that they went into teaching for. Teachers are given the opportunity to see the growth and impact of their time and efforts on an individual scale both academically and pastorally, rather than focusing on achieving nationally high grade outcomes. The provision is a small welcoming community with a large focus on adapting the use of outdoor education as part of the package for students, this includes having a variety of animals across all sites.
To be part of our staff team it is essential that you have drive, resilience, resourcefulness, initiative and an ability to manage ambiguity. We would like you to be passionate about achieving positive outcomes and raising academic attainment with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with both students and staff alike. An understanding of both formative and summative assessment of core subjects, with an aptitude for data analysis to proactively plan for educational improvement. A commitment to bringing learning to life, moving away from outdated ‘chalk and talk’ methods. An appreciation and acknowledgement of the overall direction of the school and the policies which govern it. A collaborative approach to work closely with SLT, parents/carers, outside professionals and support teams to ensure the best outcomes for our learners. A knowledge of, and up to date qualifications in, the safe handling of students. Full comprehension of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) information and protocol, as well as all safeguarding issues. Competent in administering first aid. An understanding of a variety of behaviour management techniques, with a focus on resolution management followed by developmental reflection. An ability to perform in situations of high pressure, showing not only theoretical understanding, but also ‘real-life’ understanding.
In summary, we are looking to secure a permanent Teacher of Maths with an open and optimistic outlook to join our establish team for the new academic year.
