About us The UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) is at the heart of UCL’s Grand Challenge of Global Health. We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Clinical Research Fellow to join our team. The Principal Clinical Research Fellow (PCRF) will be a member of the Centre for Clinical Research in Infection and Sexual Health with an honorary consultant contract at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). The post will be based at the Mortimer Market Centre. About the role The post holder will develop a programme of research on Sexual Health with a focus on sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, in women. They will be encouraged to develop collaborations with other research groups in IGH, elsewhere in UCL (including laboratory science groups), and externally. They will contribute to the management of the portfolio of observational and interventional research undertaken at the Centre. They will be encouraged to seek opportunities for international collaboration, including with AHRI in South Africa, on Clinical Research projects. This is a fixed-term, three-year appointment. Salary range: £93,666 - £126,281 pro-rata per annum, depending on experience. An acceptable enhanced DBS check is required to carry out this role. About you The post holder should have a higher academic degree e.g. MD or PhD (or in final stages of preparation), or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications. They should be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or equivalent, in an appropriate speciality. They should also have Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and completed General Professional Training, or equivalent.
