Job title: Principal Engineer – Design Integration
Location: Glasgow (Portsmouth, Bristol, Frimley & New Malden also considered) – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending upon experience
What you’ll be doing:
Leading delivery of the Design Zone Integration process and associated gated Design Reviews for a proportion of Design Zones across the CSC Platform
Coordinating the progressive assessment of Design Zone maturity, as each Design Zone progresses from functional design into detail design and then production readiness; ensuring that all quality and technical standards are met
Coordinating design inputs from multi-discipline design teams / Integrated Project Teams and external stakeholders to achieve the required design maturity
Leading investigations and resolution of cross-functional Design Integration issues; developing and preparing solutions, individually or as a member of a cross-discipline team
Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers at different project stages to deliver engineering work and services, by working closely with team members from various backgrounds and interacting with program leaders, customers, and suppliers
Implementing and maintaining engineering processes and procedures to adapt to technical changes and operational requirements within the engineering zonal integration strategy
Your skills and experiences:
Proven track record in design and Design Integration; this can be from either a functional, detail design or systems engineering background
Application and delivery of engineering work packages in line with engineering functional governance
Experienced delivering / providing inputs to Design Reviews and working within Engineering Governance Frameworks
Ability to drive the performance and delivery of an engineering project
Strong collaboration and influencing skills needed to build trusted effective relationships

The Design Zone Integration Team:
The Design Zone Integration team provide specialist engineering expertise to organise and co-ordinate significant aspects of engineering activity within the CSC Programme to ensure defined objectives of the Design Zone Integration process are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and cost.
