Principal Technical Consultant - Digital Transformation
Join our client's team as a Principal Technical Consultant and play a pivotal role in driving Digital Transformation programmes within UK government departments.
Overview: This is a dynamic opportunity where you'll collaborate with customers, delivery teams, senior management, and industry and academic partners to deliver existing projects, define new ones, and shape strategic direction.
Responsibilities: As a Principal Technical Consultant, you'll:
* Engage with clients to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
* Demonstrate leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
* Generate and maintain technical documentation.
* Drive technical delivery of software and solution development projects.
* Perform effective analysis and generate high-level solution architectures.
* Design and execute technical workshops with clients.
* Prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and contribute to project success.
* Communicate effectively and passionately about technology.
* Bring a minimum of 3 years of consultancy experience with exposure to technology evolution and deployment.
Requirements:
* Ability to engage stakeholders and make them feel valued.
* Attention to detail and methodical approach to solution design and implementation.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Willingness to apply for UK Security Clearance (SC) as a minimum.
* Comfortable with collaborative planning and decision-making.
Desirable: Numeric degree with software development exposure, Project Management experience in Defence & Security or Government Departments, familiarity with Agile methodologies, experience in software Secure Development and Operations (DevSecOps), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning expertise, familiarity with Requirements Management and relational databases.
