Job Description
We are searching for a Principal Telecoms Engineer to join is here at AECOM, undertaking the designs on multi-disciplinary Rail Systems Projects from both a operational telecoms and SISS.
As the Principal Engineer, you would be responsible for the Contractors Responsible Engineering duties on projects.
Skills and Experience
+ Experience of delivering Telecoms design as part of multi-disciplinary rail systems projects, both Operational Telecoms and SISS, at CRE level
+ Excellent knowledge in: Operational Telecoms systems of all generations
+ Commitment to professional development and retaining the highest standard of Telecoms design technical skills
+ The ability to be able to work in a number of differing consultancy environments and situations across the project lifecycle
+ Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members, with the ability to communicate at all levels and the demonstrated ability to have a senior role within a team
+ Understanding and experience of working within project budgets whilst maintaining the delivery of high-quality outputs
+ Commitment to delivery to internal and external clients, with the view towards timeliness, reliability, safety and accuracy of completed tasks
+ Experienced in the use of all MS Office packages
+ Excellent knowledge in the following areas
+ SISS, including analogue and digital camera technologies, modelling of CCTV coverage, cyber security and SIDOS
+ IP Networking, Voice over IP, CUCM and other related technologies
+ Understanding of CDM regulations
+ Understanding of and participation in CSM, including Telecoms-specific risks and hazards
+ Experienced in the use of Bentley MicroStation
Able to plan and lead lineside and station surveys with appropriate protection staff
Qualifications
+ Holder of IRSE 2.1.115v4 Telecoms Designer license
+ Institution membership; IRSE, IET etc
+ Institution registration; IEng, CEng etc
+ Recognized Telecoms Design CRE
+ Telecoms Project Engineer competence (Quads signed off)
+ Personal Track Safety (PTS) holder
+ Engineering qualification; Degree, HND, HNC etc
+ Experienced in the use of Bentley MicroStation
+ Experienced in the use of common data environments such ProjectWise
