Job Title: Principle Electrical Engineer

Location: Rotherham

Shifts: Early days, with call out involved

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Metalis is working with a company based in Sheffield, who are a reputable manufacturing and recycling company. They are looking for a Principle Electrical Engineer to join their team on a permeant basis.

Job Role:

• Lead a team of shift electricians, ensuring they are responding to breakdowns and carrying out PPM schedules effectively in order to increase productivity.
• Manage time, attendance and training with the team to improve skills as and where necessary.
• Generate and deliver toolbox talks as required to ensure engineers are aware and adhere to any company changes or policies.
• Keep mindful of department budgets, completing necessary timesheets and stock checks as and when required.
• Manage breakdowns and generate PPM's to better maintain equipment.
• Utilise the CCMS system and ensure team complete reports.
• Attend meeting with other departments to keep everyone up to date with day to day reports, relaying any relevant information.
• Provide out of hours telephone support and be on call when required.
• Issue permits and risk assessments to external contractors, also ensuring RAMS are correct before attending site.
• Assist with projects.
• Promote H&S within the department.

Job Requirements:

• Apprentice trained or qualified in a relevant Electrical Engineering discipline, management qualification is also desirable.
• Ideally someone from a FMCG maintenance background, heavy industry is also desirable.
• PLC fault finding and inverter set up experience essential.
