Role Responsibilities:
As a Process Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- The technical assurance and process safety of our commercial-scale production facility
- Process optimisation and troubleshooting of fermentation and downstream processing processes
- Interfacing with the projects team to ensure successful plant commissioning and expansion
- Line managing the pilot plant team to guide the pilot plant development direction
- Carrying out project process design activities where required
- Liaising with the R&D team in Manchester to understand new biomolecule processes
- Working with Process Development, Production, QC and Supply Chain teams to ensure product properties align with a range of applications and industries.
Role Requirements:
The successful Process Engineering Manager will have:
- Demonstrable industrial experience as a Process Engineer in the biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical or other related industries
- Excellent knowledge of process plant unit operations and equipment to aid troubleshooting and design
- Demonstrable experience or interest to lead a small team of Scientists and Engineers to drive value-adding and results-driven performance
- The ability to take responsibility for your projects and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
