Job Title: Process Food Technologist

FTC 12 months. £45,000

Location: Based at Kettering but also will work from London HQ (expenses covered)

Hours: Monday-Friday but flexibility is required – 40hrs per week

Two Process Food Technologists are required on a 12 month fixed term contract to join one of the fastest moving Food Manufacturers in the UK, at their brand new site in the Northamptonshire area. This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of the set up of a factory, as these kind of opportunities do not come around very often. Your role will also have you working from their London HQ too.

The role is to follow a set process and product commissioning plan to gather data and complete product trials on different technology at one factory to enable product transfer (as needed) to a new factory (Kettering) following a 12-month plan.

Key responsibilities for the role:

• Follow a structured validation plan to complete a product by product validation in time for expected transfer too Kettering site

• Trials and data collection of dough, ice cream and finished mochi, using physical and analytical testing techniques at London HQ

• Able to make recommendations on processes and process parameters that are right for the product through interpretation of the results

• Completion of product transfer to Kettering completing trials and data collection based on specifications created at London

• Completion of trial reports and product and process specifications

• Enable technical team to create accurate process records for Kettering

• Enable operations to create accurate SOPs for the Kettering

Experience required:

• Experienced specialising in process

• 7+ years working in process and product validation

• Experience in chilled enriched dough bakery or ice cream is the preferred background (or desserts)

• Product transfer experience

• Able to work on own initiative and be a team player

• Good communicator

• Strong food safety and quality ethic
