Procurement Account Manager - Engineering/Manufacturing - Uxbridge

Robert Half are working with a leading engineering organisation on the recruitment of a talented Procurement Account Manager

The Procurement Account Manager will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing engineering products and services in accordance with organisational manufacturing. As Procurement Account Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for suppliers, managing allocated supplier relationships including performance against KPI indicators, proactively identifying and managing risks.

Characteristics & Skills

• Proven experience of finding and agreeing supplier terms and purchasing goods and/or services with external suppliers.
• Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills for colleagues and suppliers.
• Numerate, strong data analysis skills.
• Seasoned knowledge of using Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP or related MRP/ERP systems and import/export requirements.
• Highly desirable - experience of understanding engineering drawings, manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Desirable - experience of procuring Pyrotechnics/Energetics materials.
• Degree (or equivalent experience) preferably mathematical/statistical, engineering, business, purchasing or accountancy focused.
