Anderson Knight is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator for our client based in the heart of Glasgow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various procurement activities, including negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Main duties and responsibilities are:
- Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority in all procurement activities.
- Support the alignment of Planning & Performance objectives within the procurement function.
- Coordinate agreements and decisions with Contract Managers, Manager of Contract and Vendor Management, and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Assist Contract Managers in negotiating and managing contracts for equipment and services, in consultation with other functional owners.
- Support the negotiation of bulk and major purchases, ensuring smooth implementation and integration within the organisation.
- Aid in formulating agreements for major vendors based on company Terms and Conditions.
- Assist in seeking best overall agreements considering total cost, quality, and service.
- Support departmental reporting and data analysis efforts.
- Assist in the approval of vendor adds, ensuring compliance with due process.
- Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies for major categories and vendors.
- Collaborate in building vendor performance metrics and terms where applicable.
- Maintain and distribute supplier relationship assessment and management reports.
- Monitor and manage the quality and standards of all suppliers, products, and services in conjunction with other departments.
- Support the identification, initiation, and management of cross-functional sourcing projects.
- Assist in conducting product and equipment research.
- Conduct market studies or research as required.
Key attributes and skills:
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in an administrative capacity.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance regulations.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A strong interest in procurement and possess a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
- Additionally, the ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Typically, you will be working Monday to Friday (8am – 4pm or 9am-5pm) office based. A flexible and hybrid approach will be implemented after probationary period.
