CRP Group are recruiting a Procurement Assistant on behalf of their client who are one of the largest wholesalers of vehicle parts in the UK, due to a period of growth and expansion within the business.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Assistant will be:
- Manage suppliers to maintain great service and availability levels.
- Analysing parts requirements using in-house systems, and suggesting/placing orders with suppliers.
- Study sales/forecast trends and highlighting the cost and supply opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered to the correct requirements.
The successful Procurement Assistant will have/ be:
- Good communication skills and confident speaking to suppliers face to face and over the phone.
- Advanced level of knowledge using Microsoft such as Excel.
- Knowledge of forecasting systems.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle/ trailer parts would be an advantage but not essential.
- Good organisational skills and punctual.
