What you'll do
Working as a Project Procurement Manager supporting both Strategic Infrastructure and National Grid Ventures (NGV) businesses you’ll be a member of the UK Procurement management team, reporting to the Head of Procurement, NGV and Offshore Infrastructure and responsible for 3-4 direct reports.
Working on either the Eastern Green Link 4 or Sea Link High Voltage Direct Current (HDVC) electrical links you’ll oversee multi billion pound, technically complex strategic sourcing events, working with a diverse, cross-functional Joint Venture project team across National Grid delivery team and our Partners ensuring the complex assets and construction solution is procured in a best-in-class manner that drives value and surpasses all project objectives.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for people who can demonstrate creativity and commercial acumen whilst identifying opportunities to drive value and deliver our net zero ambition, and a passion to grow yourself and our business. Someone who;
- Has significant experience managing large-scale infrastructure construction projects – offshore experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Can provide leadership, direction and support across the function.
- Has experience of broad, supply chain management, in enterprise environments.
- Can coach strategic sourcing at an expert level.
- Can demonstrate strong project management principles and evidence of managing multiple projects with consistent results.
- Can build and manage complex commercial assessment models.
- Experience of developing and negotiating forms of contracts.
- Can communicate dynamically at all levels and build collaborative and purposeful relationships with existing and potential supply chain partners.

Locations and flexible working
As part of our hybrid working approach where colleagues work flexibly, these roles offer a mix of office working in Warwick and home working. Other office working locations; London, Castle Donnington and Bristol can also be accommodated.
