The College is looking to recruit a new post of Procurement Manager. The post is a key role supporting the Group Director of Finance in delivering the required procurement improvements and efficiencies for the College. The centralisation of some procurement functions is seen as an important first step in ensuring the future success of the College and for delivering sustainable value for money across all purchases. This is an exciting time to take up the post with the expectation that the procurement function will grow into a team of procurement specialists working across a group of Schools and Colleges.
The Procurement function will support the College in delivering sustainable value for money across all purchases, and will also contribute towards creating social value and sustainability improvements.
Procurement is an increasingly critical function, helping the College to ensure that every penny we spend achieved values for money, with demonstrable returns in achieving our objectives. This is a newly created central Procurement role to provide leadership on all major revenue procurement projects, agreeing supply chain strategies, managing complex procurement processes to achieve outstanding value for money.
The Procurement Manager will also ensure the College operates in full compliance with all Public Procurement Regulations 2015, and is a key gatekeeper in this regard.
This role requires proven experience in managing Procurement across a complex business in a large organisation. This, coupled with a like of a challenge together with an ability to work with and influence different groups of people and ultimately make a difference to the lives of our students, will be key to the role.
In recognition of this, the College is offering a salary of circa £47k, with hybrid working arrangements, together with an outstanding annual leave entitlement of 43 days (plus Christmas closure and bank holidays), and an excellent defined benefit salary related pension scheme.
