Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Novo-K Limited. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement process within the organization. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and align them with the company's procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Development:
- Procurement and Cost reduction activities within the assigned client business
- Following the Procurement strategies and processes to meet the assigned client business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market to include terms and conditions, supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and rationalisation of supply chain solutions.
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the client business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
- Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.
- Contribute to creative and innovative procurement processes.
Supplier Sourcing and Selection:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
- Manage the tactical and transactional sourcing activities for the assigned client business.
- Contribute to developing the vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage utilising global market exploitation, leveraging spends and leveraging technologies.
- Identify potential suppliers through market research and networking.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality, and pricing to select suitable vendors.
- Work with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services. Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Procurement strategy.
- Work closely with client businesses to identify and source new and alternative solutions.
Procurement Planning:
- Collaborate with various departments to assess their procurement needs.
- Develop procurement plans and strategies to meet departmental requirements and procurement policy.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 4-6 years of experience in Property & Facility Management and Construction category
- Educated to degree level in a relevant commercial or engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Preferably a Fellow or Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage the stakeholders and suppliers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Proven contract management and supplier experience
