My client is an international leader in the design and manufacture of over 300 products that are used on power boats, yachts, off-road vehicles, RVs & industrial spaces across the world. They are seeking a proactive Product Compliance and Testing Technician to drive regulatory compliance within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing compliance and testing processes.
- Lead global regulatory compliance
- Manage partnerships related to Product Compliance testing.
- Guide product testing throughout the development life cycle.
- Collaborate with Quality and Design managers to create and own product test specifications.
- Develop test procedures, protocols, standards, plans, and reports.
- Perform hands-on product testing as required.
- Maintain in house test equipment.
- Participate in product risk assessments, such as FMEA, to proactively mitigate potential risks.
Key Skills:
- Level 4 (HNC) or above in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong logical thinking, analytical abilities, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong project management skills, working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- 1+ years' experience working in industry.
- Experience in managing global Product Compliance, including CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65 and other relevant standards is beneficial.
- Experience of 5s/6s, RCCA, and problem-solving is beneficial.
- CAD experience beneficial but not essential
