Job summary:
Provide microelectronic Product Design expertise ensuring successful change management, new product launch and customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities:
- Be the engineering lead for specific products and projects
- Provide support for current and new products in manufacturing
- Design and develop both PCBA and thick film hybrid circuit layouts for new customer owned, customer funded and internal R&D products
- Generate full drawing packs and associated manufacturing documents to support the above
- Update drawings and associated manufacturing document packs
- Liaise with customers and design partners to ensure designs meet performance requirements
- Participate in cost saving and continuous improvement activities
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong Electronics Engineering background
- Proven experience in Electronics Design and CAD
- Practical understanding of microelectronics assembly
- Experience in the Aerospace or similar industries
- Working knowledge of Pantheon / Eagle / AutoCad / Solidworks / Cam350 /
- GC Powerplace
- Familiarity with: PCBA techniques; Thick film hybrid technologies; Electronic test methodologies; Industry quality standards; ERP systems (all desirable but not essential)
Other requirements
- Some travel may be required
- SC clearance or ability to obtain
