Job Description
The Product Designer will be a key member of our product function, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, we are on a mission to make banking effortless and to empower our customers’. We need a designer with who can innovate, mixing tech with creativity to craft amazing banking experiences.
This is a greenfield project, and we are looking to develop market leading experiences in mortgages, savings, and current accounts. If you love the thrill of a startup environment and are ready to bring your mix of skills, passion, and creativity to the table, then this is the role for you.
This role is fully remote - May require travel to our office for team meetings, customer interviews etc when required.
Key accountabilities
The Product Designer will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business drivers behind the product goals.
- Utilise customer insights and data to inform the user experience, ensuring that design outcomes are aligned with user needs.
- Produce high-quality design deliverables, including concepts, user journeys, wireframes, UI flows, and detailed UI designs that support the Bank's products such as current accounts, savings, lending, and others.
- Collaborate with product engineering and commercial teams, and other stakeholders to identify new opportunities for design that create value for customers.
- Present designs and communicate effectively at committees to gain buy-in and alignment.
- Design the website and mobile applications, ensuring they are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Partner with technical product managers and engineers to facilitate the implementation of the Bank's products.
Key knowledge and skill required
- At least 3 years-experience with UX and UI responsibilities across multiple devices and platforms in mobile and web-based applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX process and deliverables including; journeys, information architecture, Low and high fidelity prototypes, user research, usability testing and polished visual designs
- Experience in product adoption metrics - analytical with confidence, utilising data as part of the design process
- Effective communication of design solutions across roles & levels
- Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies, and their application and relevance to digital experiences
- Proven understanding of mobile application design and screen development
- Experience in working on native iOS and Android platforms is a requirement
- High level of proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and additional high fidelity prototyping tools.
- Ability to work with and adapt existing brand guidelines to UI across digital products, ensuring a seamless on-brand experience.
