A Product Engineer is needed to use their technical skills and expertise to improve existing product lines and develop new ones. Description
- Designing, testing and improving product lines.
- Regular review of product legislation and compliance including certification of products/processes (CE/BSI/BBA etc.).
- Working closely with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production processes.
- Producing detailed product specifications and technical drawings.
- Assisting in the implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring products comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Providing technical support to the sales and marketing teams.
- Full feedback of the trial results are required to the Production and Quality Assurance Departments, with relevant reports or data.
- Working on projects from initial concept through to final production.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of material technology and manufacturing techniques.
Profile
A successful Product Engineer should have:
- Have a 3rd level qualification in a technical subject e.g engineering / mechanical / construction OR be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of knowledge and experience in a technical area, preferably, mechanical, construction or other engineering field
- Experience in product design and manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CAD software.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
