Role Overview:
As a Production Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing production processes, leading productivity enhancements, and engaging in project-based activities.
Responsibilities
include new product introduction, manufacturing tool and cell design, waste reduction, quality and safety improvements, operating cost reductions, KPI establishment, and proactive preventive actions. Acting as a key link between the Design Engineering and Production teams, you will develop a strong understanding of both roles to e&ectively contribute to the company's growth.
The Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrated knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques and methodologies.
Familiarity with production scheduling, process development, improvement, and control.
Experience in composites manufacturing techniques (e.g., braiding, filament winding) is
advantageous.
Exposure to quality standards (ISO 9001/AS9100/IATF16949) in production situations is desirable.
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
E&ective communication and collaboration skills, able to work independently or as part of a team.
Proven work ethic, hands-on approach to Production Engineering.
Ability to manage ongoing production work and problem-solving independently.
Familiarity with CAD, preferably Solid Edge.
2+ years in a Production Engineering role or similar, with a relevant degree.
Experience in FMEA, Kaizen/A3, and Poka Yoke techniques is advantageous.
Understanding of design and production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work.
Hands-on experience in problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
Relevant Production/manufacturing/engineering degree preferred or similar.
2+ years in a Production Engineering role or similar, ideally in composites.
Experience with CAD (Solid Edge preferred but not essential).
Proficiency in designing processes and layouts with good process mapping knowledge.
Experience with FMEA, Kaizen/A3, and Poka Yoke techniques would be advantageous.
Understanding of design and production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work.
Hands-on experience in problem-solving methodologies.
