Working for a globally recognised brand within the toy industry, you will manage the product life cycle and navigate through the systems and processes of the businesses ecosystem.
The role involves strong communication between various departments within the business, the ability to make product decisions based on product strategy whilst offering commercial insight and analysis experience.
General duties to include
- Carry out market analysis to support pricing strategies with a focus on maximising profitability.
- Creating initial product forecasts and managing the process of adding sales channels forecasts and channel allocation.
- Advising purchase order quantities based on business plan supported by the latest sales data and market insight.
- Reviewing and inputting product cost, reviewing profitability and implementing product or pricing changes when required.
- Identifying promotional opportunities for products, carry out commercial analysis in readiness for approval and implementation for the marketing team.
- Review of internal sales out data.
- Review stock holding and inbound products.
- Communicate amendments to product, range decks and presentation of.
- Trade coms such as Trade News, attendance of events (trade and consumer)
- Working with the Product Development team ensure all product details are logged and presented correctly.
- Review, check and approve that product detail is correct on any marketing materials.
- Support the brand team in attending trade and consumer events as a product specialist.
- Creating business proposals for new partnerships, business and licensing deals. Support in B2B communication and relationship management.
Key Skills and Experience
- 2 years experience working in or around Product Development Department or Team.
- Commercial experience and/or educated in business studies.
- Highly numerate with strong Excel skills.
- Good understanding of brand marketing principles.
- High levels of mental agility; rapid decision-making style.
- Evidence of being a team player in the workplace on projects and in making decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, alongside strong negotiation skills.
