What will you be doing in the role?
The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing the single-phase domestic circuit protection range, primarily targeting the UK trade market.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with sourcing and product development teams, especially at Far East manufacturing sites, and working closely with key stakeholders across R&D, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Quality departments in the UK.
- Defining and managing the product roadmap and new product introduction (NPI)projects.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the circuit protection market sector's requirements and trends.
- Managing and creating product-related information, including pricing, packaging, instruction manuals, datasheets, labels, and sales aids.
- Confidently presenting new products to internal sales teams and delivering training sessions.
- Demonstrating strong consumer and product awareness. Supporting the marketing/product management/sales team and managing product data for the internal PIM system and customer new line forms.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through continuous education, such as attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies
- Conducting regular reviews with the Product Director to ensure projects progress as specified.
So what kind of experience are we looking for?
Holds a degree in Product Management, Business, and Electrical Engineering. Possesses 2-3 years of product management experience in the electrical distribution sector. Demonstrates a high level of motivation and drive to deliver market-leading products. Exhibits excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, enabling the management of multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
Boasts outstanding written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Has a solid background in electrical product development, including a fundamental understanding of the principles of circuit protection, making circuit protection experience highly desirable.
