About the Role

The Product Sales Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day communication and promotion of our strategic vendors, creating new business, promoting and generating momentum with the customer's sales teams. The role holder will be required to increase commercial benefits to our focused business partners and will assist in generating opportunities and working on tenders/bids, in conjunction with our teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with BDM's and account management, speaking with end users to provide training and customisations to the tech and product consultations
  • Assist sales in product pitches and demos as a subject matter expert, overcoming common objections by communicating the value proposition essential to success
  • Participate in customer-focused events, product presentations, technology updates and delivering detailed overviews of the vendor's solution
  • Provide reports on the conversations via CRM, updates to the BDM and Vendor Manager and ongoing updates
  • To gather documentation required for each opportunity keeping a detailed process for each proof of concept (POC) and feedback regularly via CRM and weekly updates
  • Manage the customer requirements to provide effective support to the end user with set-up and training
  • Overcoming any objections by working with our vendor's teams to resolve any technical or individual objections
  • Working with vendors to optimize product features by consolidating customer needs/suggestions
  • Working closely with the BDM and Reseller looking at how to expand the opportunities once the POC has been completed
  • Analyze the competitive landscape via market analysis and review potential threats or objections
  • Drive strong working relationships with various teams including (but not limited to) Account management, BDM, sales managers, customer services and order management
  • Working with marketing and vendors to better promote the product
  • Help enhance the process flow for opportunities alongside BDM and the head of BDM
  • Provide expert knowledge to support internal development across the organization

Skills Required:

  • Proven sales experience working within the IT channel preferably Software
  • Proven ability to form, build and develop relationships, network effectively and with strong emotional intelligence
  • Be target drive and have experience working towards KPI's that map to business goals
  • Be highly motivated, with a passion for delivering sales targets
  • Be knowledge of the IT channel
  • Be articulate with a clear communication style and strong presentation skills
  • Experience in understanding the requirements of users with the ability to build these into good-quality narratives
  • End-to-end product delivery: You take ownership, can manage the full development process through analysis, development, acceptance and release to customers and always aim to deliver a high-quality product to customers
  • Determined, persuasive and enthusiastic about technology whilst able to set and manage expectations accordingly
  • High attention to detail, and time management
  • A dynamic team member who is highly collaborative, positive and curious
  • You care about the needs of our customers, colleagues and community

What You can expect from Us:

  • Up to £35,000 basic salary based on experience with an expected OTE of £60,000
