We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and passionate to be responsible within R&D for testing and validating products to determine whether they meet the EMC, Safety and other standards compliance required for the product under test. This activity provides a test and compliance assessment that is independent of the core design team.

Responsibilities:
- Perform product evaluation and approval tasks within R&D, covering areas such as Safety (e.g. 61010, 60947, UL), Regulatory Conformance (e.g. FM, DIN, UL, CSA, CE), EMC as well as some aspects of Environmental Compliance.
- Specify and plan work required to obtain the necessary worldwide approvals.
- Work must comply with the R&D and company Procedures.
- There may be some management of projects and/or people.
- Liaison with other team members, departments
- Offer support to customers and other departments when required.
- To keep abreast of pertinent standard changes and share their knowledge.
- It is anticipated other approval requirements may be included as the business and standards evolve.
- To understand technical documents and be able to research information to plan develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy.
- The candidate may be required to travel both in the UK and overseas as part of the role.
Skills Required:
- Good understanding of Safety (e.g. 61010, 60947, UL),
- Good understanding of Regulatory Conformance (e.g. FM, UL, CSA, CE, UKCA).
- Good Understanding of EMC Compliance.
- Minimum of two years Post Graduate experience assessing and testing products for regulatory compliance.
- Design for industrial applications.
- Understanding of the Glass / Life Sciences / Water / Plastics / Heat Treatment Industries
- Knowledge of FMEA, FTA and Risk analysis.
- Represent the company in the wider community.
