With a strong commitment to excellence and a global presence, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Cramlington location.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to maintain progress of production activities.
- Production and maintenance of engineering drawings, BOM’s.
- To engineer solutions (directly and indirectly) to repair, replace, modify, and improve components to complement the company’s capabilities to build the business with minimal dependence on others.
- Sourcing of parts, consumables, subcontractors, information, and technology in support of production.
- Completing Grid and quality inspection on parts and subcontract operations, for both stock and WIP in timely fashion to meet the deadlines set.
- Maintaining contact with suppliers via email, telephone, etc to maintain progress of the manufacture of parts and operations, etc
- Working with production completing As received technical and Final technical reports.
- Design, source, and installation of test equipment to meet with production demands.
- Compilation of technical information and instruction manuals to support test equipment.
- Commissioning of new test equipment and service/repair/calibration of existing equipment in the field
- Overseeing fault investigation and testing of new products or special projects.
- Work with sales team to promote the business, speaking with customers diagnosing faults and offering technical support.
- Assisting commercial department with part recognition and raising quotations.
- To ensure all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of OEL Quality Systems & recognised standard practice
• HND / Degree, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• PC literate: with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Use of Solidworks drawing package.
• Use of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware (Labview).
• Experience of fitting and assembly processes.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experienced in fluid dynamics.
• Able to interpret and read technical specifications and technical drawings
• Must have proven team-working skills.
• Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure deadlines are met.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
