The Rio Cinema is seeking a new Executive Director.
Rio Cinema, a charity located in the heart of East London, is seeking an inspirational Executive Director (ED) to lead the Cinema through its next phase of growth and development.
The successful candidate will report to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and will provide leadership, direction and management of the Rio Cinema to ensure that it meets the charity’s objectives and implements the strategy set out by the Board of Trustees.
The Rio is looking for an individual with proven success at a senior level in the commercial or not-for-profit arts and culture sector, who is innovative and can encourage a culture of transparency and good governance as they advance the cause of community cinema through a commitment to diverse and inclusive programming at the Rio.
The ED will implement the strategic vision of the Trustees, supervise operations, ensure financial stability and long-term growth and development in order to deliver the charity’s objectives, foster a collaborative and supportive work environment and drive value for members, audiences and the local community.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a bold and ambitious strategic vision, direction, leadership and effective management. Central to this will be a productive relationship with the Board of Trustees and the ability to provide challenge, set out information and options for Trustees and initiate and manage organisational change and development.
This is a full-time, permanent role, requiring 40 hours work per week.
