Production Manager
An established, ambitious growing Manufacturing business based near Worcester has set itself some ambitious but realistic targets to meet in the next 2-3 years and because of this, they are looking to hire a Production Manager to allow the business to do this by ensuring that all production and operational processes are efficient to do so. This position may lead to a future promotion to Operations Director.
As their Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
- A production team of around 30 people, with planned headcount growth in the future.
- Ensuring labour is in place for scheduled works to be completed on time and in full in accordance with production guidelines.
- Review factory efficiency and make any changes necessary to improve them.
- Control maintenance of the facility and equipment.
- Ensure material availability matched production schedules with a focus on controlling costs and running a lean inventory.
To be successful in this role as a Production Manager you will need:
- To have worked as a Production manager previously within a manufacturing environment.
- Be up to date with Kanban and 5S knowledge
- Proven experience in leading teams
- Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement knowledge
