The primary function is Process Milling, Packaging of bagged materials and the despatch of finished goods from site, ensuring quality compliance in line with the Quality Control Plan for onward delivery to the customer.
To operate milling equipment in line with company operating procedures, covering a 4 shift rota system (including Saturday mornings 1 in 4 when required for business needs).
Based on the small team, flexibility is of paramount importance, providing holiday and sickness cover as and when required to optimise the running time of the plant; this may require dropping onto a 24 hour 2 shift system with minimal notice.
Assistance where required with preventative maintenance and daily inspections of all onsite processes to ensure compliance with the companies legal and permitted requirements. including assisting maintenance, plant inspections and the operation of other mobile equipment such as a Manitou and Fork lift truck.
The use of mobile plant for the purpose of loading hoppers, vehicles, trailers and stock piling.

Role Purpose:
- To apply rigorously the Sibelco Health, Safety & Environmental Policy ensuring all systems/standards and written systems are applied at all times.
- To operate all fixed and mobile plant in accordance with training, current legislation and in compliance with Sibelco procedures and policies; ensuring process optimisation.
- To assist in all other aspects of site operations including assisting maintenance, plant inspections for both fixed and mobile plant.
- Support the other members of the operations team as required
- Must be able to work unsupervised and be able to make decisions independently when required
Responsibilities:
- To safely operate Milling and mobile plant in accordance with training, current legislation and in compliance with Sibelco procedures and policies; ensuring process optimisation, loading hoppers and despatching final product.
- To assist in all other aspects of site operations including quality assurance, assist with maintenance and inspections of both fixed and mobile plant.
- To assist with absence and holiday cover as part of a rotating (5 1/2 day) three shift system.
About You:
- Milling experience
- Mobile plant experience within a process / quarry environment
- Industry experience advantageous
- Valid loading shovel licence
- Valid FLT licence
- Telehandler & MEWP licence
