Salary - £24k to £26k (dependent on experience)

Hours: Mon - Thurs - 7.30am to 4.30 pm (1/2 hour for lunch) / Fri - 7.30am to 12.00pm
As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient logistics operations and exceptional customer service. You'll be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics and supply chain solutions, from material purchase to finished goods delivery. Responsibilities of the Production Planner:
Responsible for analysing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high-quality logistics solutions.
- Receipt analysis and inputting of customer schedules.
- Customer liaison from first point of contact to completion.
- Build planning and monitoring of build plans.
- Supporting Daily Production Planning Meetings.
- Sales quotations - taking a customer enquiry and re-costing the item to provide the customer with updated quotations.
- Purchase order input and amendment.
- Liaison with external parties such as sub-contractors, steel suppliers to obtain quotations.
- Ensure proper inventory procedures are followed.
- Deliver best-in-class service to customers through a strong customer service organisation and mature collaboration processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Sales, Production, and Global Logistics staff.
- Committed to meeting current and future customer expectations, resolving issues promptly.
- Prioritise orders and adjust schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure efficient scheduling and routing to achieve lowest total costs and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
- Schedule production effectively to meet customer demands.
Experience required for the Production Planner:
- Experience within a manufacturing background is required.
- Experience of supply or commercial activity within the automotive supply chain.
- Previous experience of supplying Ford would be beneficial.
- Engineering knowledge would be beneficial to aid in quotations and project support.
- Experience working with Logistics and Procurement teams are advantageous.
- Familiarity with logistics and SCM processes.
- Knowledge of international shipping terms and trading laws.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good computer competency - in particular using Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets and basic calculations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
