Salary: £40,000k - £48,191 FTE
Location: Elis David Almshouses, Duppas Hill Terrace, Croydon, CR0 4BT
Job Type: Part time, 22.5 hr/wk, can be flexible
Contract: 6 month contract, with the possibility of an extension
Work Type: Hybrid working 1 day a week from home if required
Background
Croydon Almshouse Charities (CAC), and its affiliated charity Croydon Relief in Need (CRiN), operate within the diverse boroughs of Croydon and Merton. CAC provides accommodation to Older People who are supported to live independently with a focus on person-centred, dynamic and holistic support. CRiN allocates grants of over £200k each year to the Croydon voluntary sector. Our work is funded by a portfolio of investments and income from our almshouses.
In 2023, CAC funded an independent report - Older People Deserve Better (OPDB): A Call to Action. From this report, a list of six recommendations were identified which focus on improving the lives of Older People in Croydon. We are looking for a tenacious, experienced and personable Programme Lead to work across all-sectors in Croydon, to deliver the recommendations.
Purpose of the post
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Programme Lead will successfully develop and manage partnerships and bring about change to radically improve Croydon’s approach and delivery in supporting Older People.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Develop and manage change management plans for each recommendation in the OPDB Report, ensuring close coordination and cooperation across the sectors, ensuring appropriate project management plans, deliverables, risk management and reporting.
- Design and recruit to strategic and operational cross-sector groups to oversee and progress the changes recommended in the OPDB Report
- Be the main point of contact for the planning, prioritising, and delivering change for partners.
- Identify potential risks to a change and help to find effective solutions, making recommendations to partners as appropriate
Person Specification
It is essential that the post holder has:
- Significant experience and knowledge working in partnership with and influencing senior level leaders in either the voluntary, community and faith sectors (VCFS) and at the local authority level
- Significant experience in developing and implementing change/transformation
- programmes
- The ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload, exhibiting flexibility in responding to urgent matters
- Good communication skills, particularly when engaging senior level partners and nurturing relationships to secure buy-in to change
